Three ATPS Chapters Commemorate 2008 Scientific Revival Day in Style
The Scientific Revival Day (SRD) of Africa, which is celebrated on June 30th, was dedicated during the 46th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), to deliberate on the role of science and technology in addressing socio-economic challenges in Africa. The Ministerial Council made a resolution requiring member states to mark the day with programs befitting the event. The African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS) has been on the forefront in popularizing and marking this day since 2002. The ATPS Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania Chapters marked the 2008 Scientific Revival Day in various ways, see attached stories.
