ATPS Participates in a workshop on ‘Building Trans-disciplinary Climate Change Adaption Capacity’
ATPS Executive Director, Prof Kevin Urama and Senior Research Officer, Dr Nicholas Ozor took part in a seminar/workshop for academic staff and other stakeholders involved in the transdisciplinary climate change adaptation research project at the Nsukka Campus of the University of Nigeria, Enugu State, Nigeria as resource personnel.
The seminar/workshop purposed to develop the capacity of the participating stakeholders in developing research proposals and effectively conducting research projects on climate change issues at the University of Nigeria and to train academic staff on the tools of transdisciplinarity and its application to curriculum review for climate change adaptation, among other things.
Professor Urama made a presentation on the topic ‘Concepts and Principles of Transdisciplinarity in the University Research System’ whereas Dr Ozor made his on ‘Managing research proposal process and grant systems: Experience from the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS)’.
