In November 2009 (Abuja, Nigeria) ATPS in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) officially launched the “Climate Sense Programme” (CSP) which aims to promote Climate Change dialogue and encourage new scientific breakthroughs, new technologies and innovations, Innovation Incubation Initiatives, to address the climate challenge at all levels of African Society Supported mainly by the Netherlands Directorate-General of Development Cooperation (DGIS) and the Rockefeller Foundation, the CSP has provided platforms for African stakeholders to become part of the solution to climate change in Africa. It is under the auspices of the CSP and twin programs of the ATPS Phase VI Strategic Plan, 2008 – 2012, i.e. the Y I CAN and WE CAN programs, that the ATPS is pleased to announce a Call for Concept Papers for a Climate Change Innovation Award 2010 for the African youth and African Women.
